Crawls In The Moonlight

Danny nodded. " That would be a good idea." he stepped and looked into the mirror. He hadn't known what he looked like in years. And now he knew. He had never changed for anyone. He looked back at the bed to where Jacklyn was. There was something about her.

[Miss Gates]

Jacklyn's heart was beating slowly. She wasn't sure if she had the will to live, but she knew that when she woke up she would be at a hospital. She fell into a deep sleep; she was so exhausted. Jacklyn didn't want to be in the world anymore at this point.

"If you take Jacklyn now," Jacob said. "You might be able to save her."

He went into his room and grabbed a dark blue shirt and jeans. He handed them to Danny. "Here." He said. "Do your friends need clothes?"

Danny looked at Timber and Sandy. " No there going home."

Timber grunted as he and Sandy plopped of the bed on all fours. Fine, later

Danny watched them leave and watched Timbers gimp. He smirked. " Thanks" he said taking the clothes and quickly putting them on. He walked over to Jacklyn and picked her up wrapping the blanket around her to keep her covered and warm. He turned towards the door and looked at Jacob. " I'm going to do what i can to keep her alive you know."

[Miss Gates]

Jacob nodded at Danny. "And I want you to do that," he said. "Take her somewhere else. Take her somewhere safe." He asked him.

Danny nodded. " That was my intention."

[Miss Gates]

Jacob smiled a little and then looked at his sister sadly. "Tell her not to come back."

Danny stopped at the door and looked back at him. " I will."

Jacklyn fell into the realm of dreams. The world faded into a meadow and the sun shone brightly through the canopy of trees. A few bugs here and there spotted in the air and Jacklyn thought she was in Heaven. Where she stepped were flowers of all kinds and the smells were glorious. She didn't ever want to wake up. She wore a long white dress with a v-neck and sleeves. She looked like a goddess. Birds chirped all around her and she started to sing along with them.

Danny left the house quickly with a few of the wolves following him. He looked down at Jacklyn she looked peaceful. He looked at the wolves on his side. " We'll take the outskirts of the forest to the hospital. Then you all can go back home and i'll carry on on my own from there."

[Miss Gates]

Jacklyn was peaceful and for the first time in a long time too. She opened her eyes a little, but she was still half way in her dream. She looked up and vaguely saw someone carrying her again. Confused, she asked who the person was.

"Who...Who are you?" Jacklyn asked the figure. "I can't see...see...clearly."

Danny kept his gaze where he was going. Focused on not tripping with her in his hands. It had been so long since he'd walked on two legs. " Its Danny." he replied in a calming voice.

[Miss Gates]

Jacklyn looked up at Danny and smiled a little. Then she closed her eyes and fell back asleep, weak from exhaustion.

Danny lightly tightened his grip around her as he began gently jogging trying not to make her bounce so much and managing a smooth run. They came closer to the hospital and he stopped and looked at Timber. " Go home." he instructed as he calmly started walking across the deserted highway towards the hospital.

The hospital; full of death and disease. Lost hopes and dreams and full of ghosts. Jacklyn was about to be a ghost. Well, she wasn't going to die, but there was something about the hospital that made people different...Something was in the hospital and the place wasn't safe. Most of the time people died there because there was no cure for what they had. Jacklyn had a broken heart. Could Danny repair it?

Once in the hospital, the nurses prepped Jacklyn up and she was taken care of. She was in a deep sleep though and her dreams were wonderful. Did she want to come out them? She wasn't sure. Jacklyn stepped into the clearing; tattered autumn leaves crunched beneath her feet. The wind was cool, but that did not bother her.

A long, red dress covered her body and revealed her curves. Her black hair swayed across her face and her skin looked as radiant as ever. She was safe here, she knew that. But this wasn't real. No in the real world, people got hurt. In the real world there were monsters. In her dream, a figure formed that looked like Danny.

The figure smiled and walked over to her, holding out his hand. Danny looked rather handsome in a black suit. She wondered what he had planned, but took his hand anyway. Danny pulled her into a dance and she offered him a smile. Peace. This was peace.

Danny sat in the waiting room and kept moving uncomfortable. He hated being in human form. He wasn't used to it anymore. He couldn't get comfy in his seat. It felt so weird to not be laying down stretched out and comfy in the dirt but in this hard uncomfy chair.
He wondered if Jacklyn would be alright. Wondered how he could protect her. He thought about trying to convince her into staying with the pack for a bit just to see if that could work out. He would certainly like that. He wanted to stay close to her to keep her safe.
