Reunion

[Ellie]

Nina laughed. "C'mon dork..." She took the lead. they ducked through som trees and folowed a worn path up to the large extinct volcano. The entrance was blocked for thier previous venture inside. They hadnt exactly left quietly. "Uhhh....I think we needa move that...", she coughed. "And I think we're going to have some slight problems getting to where Ellie is. Its all...well...collapsed inside.", she muttered. "Ellie musat have gone in through the top."

Alex looked promtly to his right hand. "I can probally clear the passage with a Chidori or two. But it'd take some of my energy to do it. And I don't really think we can afford to waste anything at this point." He was beside himself in comtemplation. Sephiroth chuckled, and took a step forward.

"I'll do it. Everyone get back." He took his Masamune, and drove it into the massive boulder blocking the way. As the group scattered away, he began chanting- reciting an incantation. Then, shortly after, Sephiroth shot his arm forward. "KAI." There was an implosion, causing the boulder to bust apart.

[Ellie]

Nina smiled and clapped. "Wonderful!", she said. "I hope you dont mind doing that a couple more hundered times...", she said very nonchauntly as she entered through the cave entrance. Kyo clenched his arm and followed.

"I can help to ya know...", he muttered in his usual pestimistic tone.

"I know. So get to helping. Just so long as you dont lose any energy.", Nina said without looking back. Sky folowed looking around quietly.

"I would think there will be other obstacles other than just these rocks...", she muttered.

Cloud scoffed. "You think?" he said, sarcastically. "You'd better start on getting ahead, or otherwise, we'll never get to that girl..."

Alex glared slightly at the man. "That really wasn't nesseciary..." he muttered. Cloud just looked away in his usual 'I'm too cool for you' manner.

[Ellie]

Nina turned her head. She smiled at Cloud, and winked at Alex. As if to say 'its alright.'

Up ahead the tempeture started to change drastically. It began to get extreamly hot. Sweat began to drip down thier brows. "We should be reaching the lava pool shortly. Its only going to get hotter.", Nina said softly.

"Aunt Nina?", Sky said moving closer to her. "The path...wont it be destroyed?", she whispered.

"Thats when we're going to be needing you talents dear. Anyone with magic is going to have to put forth effort up ahead!", she called to them. They entered the room. Nina looked up. "The entrance to the next floor is up there.", she siad pointing to at least 60ft above them. "This used to be a lava maze. Carved out bridges used to lead up there. Unfortunatley they were destroyed", she explained.

"Destroyed, hmm?" Kimimaro suddenly said. "Perhaps I can be of some assistence. I can attempt to use and construct my bones into a sort of bridge or ladder, seeing as I can regenerate all of them instantly." he said with confidence. "What do you say?"

[Ellie]

"B--bones...?", Sky shuddered at the thought.

"Im not sure a latter would help us in this situation. However I like the sound of that bridge. Perhaps you and Sky can figure something out.", she said with a grin. "Sounds like a plan to me!"


Kyo huffed as he looked over the edge into the boiling lava, some 1000ft below. Last time theyd been here the lava had been much higher. Not to mention traps around every turn, corner, and groove in the walls.

"If Ellie is up here...", Kyo started. "And if we build a bridge....", he said slightly fadeing off.

"SPIT IT OUT!", Nina snapped.

"Wont she send monsters...or something after us?", he finished ignoring her outburst. Nina blinked.

"Kyo...that was actually intelligent of you..", She muttered. Kyo huffed and rolled his eyes.

Alex wore a half-smile upon hearing the comment. "Don't worry. We'll bat down every single one of them. They won't stand a chance!" he said with confidence. Nothing was going to stop them from saving Ellie.


Kimimaro stepped forward. "Very well, let us begin..." He thrusted his palms onto the ground, and out from the gap between ledges, came a large, thick bone bridge. "There... That should do it." he said, panting.

[Ellie]

"Alright!", Nina said looking quite happy.She started to walk across the bridge. Sky shuddered but folowed. As did Kyo. "So how far do you think that lava goes down?", Nina said trying to make conversation.

Sephiroth chucked, and proceeded with the others. "Care to find out, Nina?" he said jokingly. "It would be difficult to know for sure, but I'd say the lava goes deep enough to reach the mantle, juging from the intensity of the radiation."

[Ellie]

"NO I WOULD NOT CARETO FIND OUT!", Nina growled. She looked down again. Sephiroth was right. That was deep. REALLY deep. "Its gonna get hot!", she added.

"I can take care of that.", Sky said happily.

(Lets start this slow. I cant remeber half of this so....yeah ^^' HA!)

"Heh heh! Damn right it's gonna get hot!" Cid bursted. Sephiroth joined in laughing, as did Alex. Cloud was 'too cool' however, and grunted instead.

As Kimimaro slugged behind, he heard their laughter. "So, they can laugh... even at a time like this?" he asked himself. "... what an idd bunch..."

[Ellie]

Every couple of minutes Sky let out a short burst of cold air. "I hope this helps...", she muttered shyly to the group. She wasnt very confident.

"Its wonderful dear!", Nina said with a big grin.


****CENTARA, PHEONIX, & ALVEIANA****'

Alveinas shop was unlit. It had a dark eerie feeling to it. CenTara sat in the dark lisitening to the small, slow humm of the machine.She had not seen the shops owner since everyone had left. She was uncomfortable in this place. It was so crammed and stuffy. Everything that had happened earlier played through her head. EVERYTHING. She was so confused. But her attention was focused on Pheonix. The small being laying there helpless, once so large and mighty had almost crushed her to death. She feared Ellie, and Pheonix more than anything. Yet...Shewould do anything to see this creature live. SUDDENLY! Loud crashed came from downstairs. CenTara jumped at once. She could hear yelling.

"I KNOW ITS HERE!!! WE WILL NOT HAVE THAT THAT...THAT THING! THAT MONSTER!!! THAT EVIL CREATURE IN OUR VILLAGE!!!", came a mans voice. CenTara didnot know who it belonged to.

"BITE YOUR TOUNG!", Alveinas voice retorted. "YOU KNOW NOT OF WHICH YOU SPEAK! YOU IGNORANT PIG! Be gone from my presence this is not YOUR village! IT IS THE EARTHS! I HAVE NOTHING HERE OF YOUR CONCERN!", Alveinas voice sounded almost demonic. It was bone chilling. "NOW LEAVE!" CenTara heard the man scream, and then folowed crashes. Then there was scilence. She peaked through the window just to see the man scurry away. She got up at once and practically tumbeled down the stairs.


****ELLIE****

The demon stood peering through the lab. Where was it. Master wanted it. She needed to find it. But where...? Ellie...or rather the twistedform of Ellie hrew everything in sight. She NEEDED IT! SHE NEEDED IT NOW!!!

"ENOUGH!",said a loud bold voice through the dark room. "IVE FOUND IT ALREADY!", there was a pause. "Send the Hell Hounds for them, NOW!" Ellie bowed at once.

Alex nodded. "Mhm! Thanks, Sky!" he jeered. Before, he was sweating pounds off at a time but now, he could hardly even feel the heat. But then, he could hear Kalad contact him.

"Alex, I'm sensing something up ahead. It might just be a distraction, but keep your guard up. "

[Ellie]

Sky stopped. "Does anyone else feel that..?", she said. The heat fell upon them. It seemed tobe getting increasingly hotter. For a moment there wasno sound. The rest of the group stopped.

"I feel it.", Kyo said very seriously.

"What are ya talkin' about? I dont feel anything...?", Nina said looking a little confused.
