The Dark Months: War

Story line: Why is this world dark for six months, no one knows. But, tihs is the MOST dangerous time of year for humans. All the creatures of the night are out at this time, but it is peaceful. The humans still don't think vampires exist or other creatures. But things have changed and the creatures want their planet back. This is a violent time. Jump in any time!

January

Rachelle Jankins walked the dark street, searching for a house to live in. People were just breaking in and taking houses. You had to watch to survive. It was choas outside. Shuttles were always flying to different worlds above. Rachelle spotted a cute little house and walked up to the door; it didn't look like anyone was in it.
Suddenly, the door flew open and a human female looked at Rachelle with a loaded rifle. Rachelle smirked; she was a vampire.

"Back off of my property!!! You can have it over my dead body!"the young lady yelled.

Rachelle shrugged. "Hmmm, fair enough."

Before the woman could even cock the gun, Rachelle was behind her within seconds. She grabbed the gun out of her hand and snapped it in half. The woman gasped. Then, she snapped the lady's neck. Rachelle shook her head and threw the corpse aside.

"Stupid humans."she muttered.

Rachelle shut the door and locked it. The walls around her were a light pink. "I'll have to change that."she thought as she continued down the hallway. "Where is the rest of the family? Hmmm, she must have live alone. Poor woman."

Rachelle walked down the hallway and entered the kitchen. She sat down at the table and the moonlight poured onto the center of the table. It was a small table, more like a card table. There was one stove, one chair, and one refrigerator. The walls around her were covered in flowery wallpaper. Rachelle almost gagged.

"This woman was insane."she muttered.

[Atticus]

Lucian was running down the street as he was being chased by vampires he turned round the corner quickly he was trying to find a house the seemed secure they were starting to catch up very quickly he moved down an ally way as he falls over a bin that was knocked over but before he could get up a foot went onto his back "unlucky kid" he felt himself being lifted up and put against the wall "try to scream but noone will hear you" as he did he got bite on the neck he felt his energy being drained from himself as he collapses onto the fall.

He woke up several hours later feeling dizzy he pulled himself up of a pole as he grabs his neck feeling bite marks "no it can't.....they can't have.." he said quietly to himself as he moves out of the ally and collapses onto his knees weak, he gets back up slowly as he sees a door in front get slamed "i better get help" he moved in front of the door and starts to bang against it.

Rachelle shook her head as she grumbled. She sniffed the air.

"Ew! Horrible smell when humans get turned!! Ug!!!"Rachelle said as she got up.

Rachelle started to walk towards the door. She almost didn't want to open the door, but she was curious. She looked in the peephole and saw the human grasping to the door. Rachelle rolled her eyes.

"Stupid species!"she cried and opened the door.

Rachelle looked at the human. "What do you want?"she asked in a nasty tone.

Ward Turnbull had been traveling in the dark for days, most of the caravan he had been traveling with had died or gone crazy and died trying to escape through the woods alone.

Many would think that Ward himself had gone crazy which may explain why he showed up three entire days after the caravan came through the town.

He looked like a modern Van Helsing such as wearing the black Trenchcoat and Fadora both pure leather and underneath was a suit of black, only shade of color on his body was his face which was light pale.

Staggering into town with a staff to keep his balance, obviously drunk from something, he noticed a man running from a small group of pure white people. His smile was a bit disgruntled as he staggered forwards towards the house the man was reaching for.

He only stopped once when a vampire tried to get him. It was with this that the staff struck three times, once under making the vampire float, once to the side breaking the vampires ribs momentarily, and once over to make the vampire pass out hopefully while hitting the ground face first. The third blow as it would happen broke his staff. He continued forwards with less grace then he had shown inside the one way fight.

Lucian looked up at Rachelle "ple.....please he...help me" he said holding onto the door frame almost about to faint as his eyes start rolling into the back of his head as he closes them, he moves one of his hands up and rubs his eyes then opening them as they flash red but go back to blue "ple.." he falls onto his knees as he looks up and falls backwards fainting onto the floor.

Rachelle looked disgusted at Lucian. Then, as she sensed a hunter, Zoey Hemel appeared in front of her.

"What are you going to do Rachelle?"Zoey asked. "Kill him?"

Rachelle jumped back. "Holy crap Zoey!!! You scared the living crap out of me!!"

Zoey cocked her pale heart shaped face to the side. "Are you? Just like the REST OF THEM!"

"NO!!!"Rachelle yelled. "Get inside Zoey!!!"

Rachelle picked Lucian up off the floor, carrying him in her arms. Zoey shut the door behind her and walked into the living room.

"IF you're not going to kill him,"Zoey said tucking her long black thick hair behind her ear. "We're going to have to turn him."

Rachelle rolled her eyes as she set him on the couch. "Let's see how long he can take it."

Zoey whirled around. "He'll die!"she hissed.

"Shut up Zoey!"Rachelle hissed.

Quietly Ward moved to the house, each step his head cleared out of the stupor of being drunk. Of course with each step he took it gave him a slightly harder hangover to deal with.

After the first Vampire he took down the others circles him amongst the rooftops awaiting a proper time to strike.

He knocked at the door hoping a friendly face would greet him, but instead another vampire came trying to jump down ontop of him. They always seemed to be so quick until you figured out how most of them used brute strength and very little intellegence.

This time he simply stepped backwards and seemingly out of nowhere pulled out a rather unique dagger cuting the throat of the attacking Vampire.

He again knocked on the door to see if anybody would answer.

Rachelle hissed. "Now what?!! You see, you let one human in and then the rest of them think that they can come in!! Is that what you want Zoey?!"

Zoey smirked. "Yes."

Rachelle hissed again. "Witch."

Zoey walked to the door and opened it. "Good evening good sir, "she said. "How may I help you?"

[Atticus]

Lucians opened his eyes slightly seeing two girls infront of him he moved his hand to touch one of them but his arm droped down as his head rolled to the side *i can't belive it im gonna die, this has to be a dream* he tought as he felt himself falling into darkness as a light shined in his eyes he open them again but was still in the living room his heart was beating slower by the minute *any minute now it will be over* he thought as a tear rolls down his cheek.

"Tell me you won't try to kill me and allow me to stay for the night. I'll help defend against the vampires outside as payment." The body of the "Finally" dead Vampire lay at his feet as he looked inside. A Hangover rough enough to knock out Zues overcame Ward as he stood there awaiting the womans response. He took note to the woman who appeared to be dead and flung like a ragdoll across the room.

"Can we talk inside please?"He motioned for himself to be allowed into the home that the man had just entered.

Meanwhile, Rachelle with drew her hand with disgust. "Don't touch me you filthy human! I'm the one that will let you die or live, so have some manners!"

Zoey nodded and sighed. Then she leaned and whispered into Ward's ear, "I wouldn't talk about killing our kind."

She let Ward come in and shut and locked the door. "What is your name?"she asked Ward.

"Would you like the truth or a lie?" Ward said as he rolled his neck to pop it a few dozen times. "I doubt you've heard of me..."

He ignored the fact that the vampire who just let him in also threatened him. "I have not said anything about killing, just defending, unless you believe them to be the same thing."

While he looked outside he took note of how many may be out there and started to ponder why the sun hasn't been out in years.

[Atticus]

Lucian moved around on the chair in distress as he falls of it screaming as he grabs his neck as his other hand claws along the floor making claw marks he curls up slightly as his eyes keep flashing from blue to red, as he feels his heart stop beating his eyes go fully to red as he stands up and looks at his hands seeing that his nails have grown slightly as he moves his hand into his mouth and feels fangs "no...im....one of them" he said looking at the floor as he crys abit.

Rachelle looked at him with angered eyes. Then, she looked at Lucian. She felt an ounce of sympathy for him, but then shook her head.

"You need to hunt."Rachelle said.

Meanwhile, Zoey looked At Ward. "Well, you did just said you'd defend agaisnt the vampires, so I do take it as killing them,"she said. "What is your name?"

[Atticus]

Lucian lifted his head up and tilts to the side "Hunt......you want me to hunt the people outside" he said pointing his thumb behind himself as he looks to the side "and what if i don't?" he said not looking her in the face since he hated vampires and now he had become one of there kind and simply wished that this never happend.
