Episode One: "Resurrection"
The Vaughn Cold ship docked the lands called the Grave Docks. This was a feared day. The day that Nikki Vaughn Cold's body would be moved like cargo to the lands of Grave Gates City. People traveled all of the world to come to this city. Why? This city was to resurrect the dead.
Some people's spirits couldn't make it, but those that didn't completely made turned into ghosts. A servant came down to the ship and spoke to the Vaughn Cold family. The youngest sister, now the oldest, nodded at the servant. The friends that surrounded her were all dressed in black for this horrible day.
Princess Veralore walked to the deck of the ship. The crew were on either side of her, holding candles. Her sister's coffin was on the dock already. Princess Veralore held her head down. Her tears streamed down her cheeks and watered the deck of the boat. Her friends and family followed her off of the boat.
At the end of the dock there were a pair of ghosts. Princess Veralore gasped. She couldn't believe she was here. She couldn't believe this was happening. Her sister was dead. Nikki Vaughn Cold was dead. Was this disrespectful? Could Princess Veralore really attempt to bring her sister back from the dead? This didn't look right at all.
Once she was at the end of the dock with her sister's coffin, the ghost greeted her. They looked like normal people but they were see through. Princess Veralore swallowed hard and nodded as they spoke. The ghosts consoled her and assured her that if resurrection was achieved, her sister would be very happy here. Princess Veralore nodded and they were escorted to the Healing Center.
The Healing Center was a beautiful white, tall building with roses circling the building. The city was quite beautiful. There were green plains and hills beyond the center. Once inside the building, the family was instructed to sit in the waiting room. Princess Veralore was hesitant to let go of her sister's coffin. The ghosts reassured her it would be okay.
Her friends and family brought her to a seat. Princess Veralore was quite shaken up. Now that her sister was gone she was all alone except for the two aunts that she had. The kingdom of Anthia crossed her mind and her eyes widened. Was she to be Queen? Princess Veralore felt faint. She wondered how much time she would have to wait. Would her sister be okay?
Veralore was scared. She was worried that her sister would hate her for bringing her back from the dead. But her sister's life was cut short and she hoped that her sister would be grateful for the second chance. Time to seemed to stand still in these few moments. She felt like things were taking forever. This was the longest part of her life she ever had to wait for. Veralore looked around the waiting room and noticed a solid person. This person did not look like a spirit.
Veralore got up and ran to the person. "Excuse me," she said and stopped them from walking. "I don't mean to be rude but I am Princess Veralore of Anthia and I was wondering if you could tell me if you are dead or alive?"
The person sighed and nodded. "Of course," she said. "My name is Callie and I was resurrected. I am alive, but my body is tied to these lands. I cannot leave these lands."
Veralore looked at her and smiled weakly. "Are you happy here Callie?"
"The only part I miss is home. Some people survive it some people don't." Callie told her bluntly.
"Survive what?" Princess Veralore asked her.
"The homesickness." Callie told her.
