"I know" Dayan agreed with a sigh "I also know it is a few hours till sunrise. If Cain wants to see Savannah tonight Abel you need to drink it " He ordered "After all it will take a while to calm the boy down. Is there anything you want me to tell him?" He asked watching the boy in front of him

Nothing came to his mind, which irritated him like no other, but Abel pushed those angry thoughts away. He shook his head. "No." He told Dayan and forced himself to drink. There was nothing to say that would make things better. He was going to die. Abel could accept that. The drink was harsh to his throat, but he forced his muscles to drink. As he drank the last drop, the vial fell from his hand and dropped to the floor. The vial shattered into many pieces pain coursed through his body. Abel collasped to his knees. So this is what death feels like, he thought as he felt the changes.

Dayan watched the boy drink. It was such a waste of a boy this way, a friend and all for Love. It was a risk the boy was willing to take, a gamble that if it was a success then Cain would have Savannah and Savannah would have her happy ending. If it was a failure then in his eyes he saw it as a wasted sacrifice. "You faced Death with bravery Abel Goodnight my friend May your sleep be filled with the sweetest dreams" It was spoken softly meant to go unheard as the words were tinged with the heavy sadness. The only moment Dayan allowed the single emotion to show. The moment was fleeting, over before it was begun. "Greetings Cain and welcome back" He smiled yet his voice was back to its usual void of emotion. The greeting was given once he was sure the change complete. " How are you feeling?" Savannah was unaware of Abel's sacrifice . All she knew was her protector was gone, her one and only love. Now she was at the mercy of Dayan or Killian , both men frightened her. And what of the man Cain had become, what would he think of her. Through her tears she had cleaned the room, and left the castle silently as a ghost. She didn't stray far only to her roses. It was a garden she had tried to grow, tending it in the moonlight, sad she hadn't seen them in the sun. This time she would greet the morning , and let it destroy her. After all there was nothing left here for her. Was there.

Cain looked up at Dayan; why was he back? He wondered. He looked around and ignored Dayan for the moment. Yes he knew that Dayan had helped Abel, but happened to his Light side? Cain was furious. If his cheeks could turn red, they would be red by now. Finally he knew he had to face Dayan again. Savannah entered his mind and his purple eyes widened in fear. What if Abel had sacrificed himself to save Savannah? What was wrong with Savannah? He began to panic and found himself at the mercy of Dayan. Cain blinked and stood up.
"Father where is Savannah?" He asked with worry in his voice.

Dayan watched the boy before him. He was prepared for anger, frustration, but yet Cain surprised him. Confusion and Anger showed on his face, in his eyes. But the negative forces were held in check. Had the boy finally learnt restraint, was Savannah and the love she brought really the cause of this. The concern in his voice, and his eyes as he spoke the girl's name in his rising.
"Lady Savannah was displeased with your choices Cain" Dayan began in his usual calming tones sure by the time he was through ,the emotions the boy held so easily in check was sure to burst through. "I think distressed may even be the term for it. She was certainly very upset when she left the room. After all you gave her Abel when it was Cain that she needed, that she wanted."
Dayan took this moment to stand. If the boy chose to lose his temper , the older one wanted to be at his full hight to restrain him. And protect himself. "i cannot tell you where she is now" Cannot more like will not. He was an ancient , and he held a blood bond with the girl. Dayan could find her in a heart beat if he so chose. But he chose to test the boy's devotion, if Savannah was truely his, he should have no trouble finding her. If it got to close to dawn then he would step in and bring her back but not yet.
"I just know she's gone Cain" He smiled looking towards the windows. It was a subtle clue as out in the direction he chose to look was the secluded rose garden. "I suggest if you love her and value Abel's sacrifice you find her and bring her home before the dawn claims her...I wish you luck boy"

Cannot tell me? Cain wondered and scoffed. Now he was angry; Dayan had no right to tell him how to live. Not now, not ever. Just because Dayan had created him didn't mean that Dayan owned him. He refused to help Cain. Especially when he needed the help. He ground his teeth together. He hadn't realized his strength because his fists were tight in balls and his claws had dug so deep into his skin that blood dripped down from his hands and onto the floor. Cain ignored the blood. He focused on the one person who could help him and who now refused to help him. And why? Because the damned Dayan was testing him of his love for Savannah. Of course he loved her! All the more reason for Dayan to help him! There was a pain in his heart. It was because there was no more Abel and now his body and his soul was unsure of what to do. The only thing that Cain was sure of, was that he needed find Savannah.
Cain narrowed his purple eyes. "I swear to God, Dayan," He growled. "If she dies...I will hunt you till the end of time until you are finally dead. I do not care if you are an ancient, but you could help me and save her life. Instead you refuse me the information I need." He paused. "This is the end of our relationship if anything happens to her."
With those words, Cain turned his back on him and ran to find Savannah. He needed her. Without her, he would be nothing.

Dayan let the burst of anger run its path. It was no where near as bad as he expected it to be. He had expected violence and all he got was blind honesty, and somehow despite the anger the boy had actually kept himself in check. "I wouldn't let her come to any harm my boy" His words were quiet and to Cains retreating back. In seeking to test the boy had he left it to late to save the couple. Following him out to the hallway he sought to repair any damage his test may have wrought "Cain you're going the wrong way she is in the garden's somewhere, that's all I know," This time the ancient spoke true, Savannah link was weakening due to the coming dawn. He hoped the boy had heard him, the dawn was dangerous to Savannah. It would hurt her before it destroyed her. "And you're bleeding boy...."
Savannah could already feel the effects of the coming dawn. Her body had becoming tired and drowsy. She couldnt help but lay on the bench. Sleeping would be the best then it wouldnt hurt and if she was honest with herself, she was frightened of the pain , would she burn like Dayan had warned her. Would all they find of her was a pile of ash. She wouldn't run from it though, this was the only way, she wanted to be dead if there was no more Cain. Out of the two options death was the only way, life wouldnt be worth living without her dark prince. "Forgive me"She whispered not sure whom she needed forgiveness from. Abel maybe Closing her eyes she prayed for sleep as the first lights of dawn would soon creep over the morning sky , touching her skin, leaving blisters in their path.
