The sun had barely set as Savannah awoke from her slumber. That was nothing new she was often up this early and still her body could tolerate the low rays of the sun. The surprise was in fact to find Cain asleep in a chair. She had only met him a few days ago but she knew this wasn't normal for him. Maybe last night she had given him a fright. She remebered it clearly, it was marked with her shame. She hadn't fed since that first night, causing herself to collasp in his home with hunger. He must of cared for her fed her and brought her to bed. Cain looked beautiful asleep so much so Savannah didn't want to wake him. Instead she chose to walk, explore the castle and satisfy her curiosity about his home. Bare foot her steps made no sound as she walked from room to room being careful not to go in any that may be occupied by shea.

The intoxicating scent was gone. Cain noticed this the moment Savannah stepped out of the room. He missed the scent; he craved her. Savannah had turned into a naughty obesession that Cain couldn't shake from him and he didn't know why. Standing up, Cain brushed himself off and flattened the wrinkles in his black button down shirt. Soft clicks emitted from his black leather shoes as he started to walk out of his room. He followed Savannah's scent and hoped to find her soon.
"Sava?" He called out for her, the nickname he had chosen for her echoing out down the halls.

Savannah had been looking at her favorite picture in the Castle. It was one of Cain that had obviously been painted when he was a fledgling. He looked so different in it, but what was different she couldn't put her finger on it. What she hadn't known it was taken before Cain had banished his light into darkness.. The picture wasn't supposed to exist anymore but she had found it whilst exploring his home "Cain?" She was shocked at the clarity of his voice. She was sure he wasn't shouting to loud and they were some distance apart. That was something new.
"Cain I'm over here?"She called not thinking much about the painting All she wanted was his company here in the library. Once he was awake he gained all her attention. Why was that? After all she had been around boys before yet only Cain held the appeal for her that he did. Surely it wasn't love, after all they were just friends weren't they?
Taking a few steps she met him by the door, she was surprised to find her lips dry, a strange sensation in the back of her throat and in her mind. If she were but to realize it was the birth of her blood hunger.A new creation birthed from the drinking of his blood.A lot of it last night. She was becoming a mixture of light and dark, yin and yang.Possibly a new sub breed of vampire only time will tell. Yet this realization hadn't dawned on her nor would she think to ask him about it. The main reason she didn't want him to think her foolish to ask . "Did you sleep well Cain, "She smiled at the sheer sight of him setting her heart aflame "I suppose not in that chair. I am truly sorry for collapsing on you last night, I should never of let myself get so low... " Her apology for her poor behavior seemed useless but she did hope she got her point across .

Relief flooded him when he found her. She was radiatant as ever; glowing. Her voice...Cain found soothing. Only her voice could do that to him. Cain didn't question it. If he did his Light side would come back and he didn't want to ruin things. Not now. Things were too perfect right now. He had Sava by his side and Shea at his right hand. The three of them had grown to be a family, which gave Cain immense joy. No. Stop it. No more joy. Cain shook his head, which could have been an answer to Sava's question and not to his thoughts. Little did she know. He walked closer to her so that he was inches away from her. His purple irises noticed the dryness on her lips. A thumb pressed gently on her lips, caressing them.
"You were fine," Cain reassured her. "Are you hungry? Do not lie to me Sava..." He paused. "If you need my blood all you have to do is ask."

Cain was right. She was hungry but how? Before she met him she went days even weeks without feeding. There was simply no need. Now she needed more yet she had feed hungrily from him last night. "I must be"She admitted softly the moment his thumb left her skin "But you haven't fed yet?" The last thing she needed was him to get sick or weak. "I can wait till later right?"She asked softly. Although her words seemed like lies. The closer blood was to her the more she needed it.

Cain smiled a little. "I'll be fine," He admitted. "I just won't drink from Shea today. I don't want to kill him."
It was true that the less he drank regularly the more of a chance he had of killing the people. Not that he cared. He loved to kill, but ever since Savannah had shown up in his life he had killed less and less. Now the urge to kill was strong. He needed to kill like a blind person needed to be watched. Cain twitched a little.
"Really," Cain said. "Your need is more important than mine."

"He wont like that" Despite the fact she was sure Shea disliked her Savannah worried and cared for him still. For both there sakes Savannah would have to send him out to hunt. She would miss him every second he was gone from there home but still it was the words he needed to hear."Once,, Once Ive fed again I want to show you something I found the other night" Even though she spoke of her find she had already stepped in closer, her arms around his waist to steady herself. Her fangs pressing against his skin. She pierced the skin easily ready to drink her fill,For once not waiting to thank him all that seemed to matter was the head rush that came from drinking his blood. Her body welcomed his live blood pulsing pleasure throughout her veins. For once she found it hard to stop herself. It took her sheer willpower to step away from him, leaving behind in her wake the faint mark of a bruise on his neck.
Stepping back in fright she stumbled into the nearest chair. Her legs clumsy and no longer wanting to bear her weight,. Once sat she brought up her knees and hugged them. "What's happening to me Cain?" Her sweet voice trembled in fear. Savannah was sure she was sickening for something now, but Vampires never got sick. It just wasn't possible Vampires never got sick . Everybody knew that didnt they/

Cain felt the pleasure within her bite. He sank into a puddle and when she pulled away, he couldn't help but feel heart break. He heard her trembling voice and sighed heavily. This was all his fault. Sava should not drink from him anymore. He was poisoning her. He knelt down and held a strand of her hair gently.
"Its my fault my sweet Sava." He said softly.

Nothing made sense to the trembling girl. This strange new feelings and now Cain was taking the blame for everything. If he had made her sick, would she have to stop feeding from him. There was no other vampire around to drink from. She would have to leave surely or perish "How Cain?"Her voice the barest whisper, nor could she could give him eye contact. Instead she chose to bury her head in her arms. Tears threatened to fall but she refused to cry Cain was a strong vampire and so would she be, even if it killed her inside "I don't understand Cain How can you make me ill?"

Cain put out his arms and wrapped himself around her. He would have to confess everything to her. He wanted her to be a Queen of Darkness with him; he wanted her to be by his side in the shadows. But now he understood...His Sava did not belong there.
"I tried to take your soul," Cain admitted. "But I couldn't...You are precious to me Sava...And because you are precious to me I am willing to give up my power to make you better."

Savannah shook her head. Despite the strange feelings she was feeling and the cramps in her stomach she couldn't let him give up who he was for her. Weakly she shook her head and looked at her beloved. "No Cain, I cant let you give it all up for me"She protests with a cry. She had never been out in the sun, fed from a human, human.. Shea. What would happen to him if sacrificed all for her. Why she cared so much for the boy was still a mystery to her. Maybe it was simply because Cain did. "I would never forgive myself if you did"She confessed finally cuddling in to him.
"There must be a way " She murmured softly. Was there such a thing as a Twilight vampire, one that was light and dark combined (not the sparkly kind) . And if so how was it achieved. If she came to harm then Cain would never forgive himself. "There has to be a way Cain" Savannah wasn't ready for defeat. "Light and Dark to exist together in me. They always said I was different back home" She was talking only to herself really, airing out thoughts in the hope inspiration would strike one of them."Just because it hasn't been done before, doesn't mean we can't try right?"
She lay her head against his. "Are the rumours about you true Cain?" She asked trying to hide she was in pain "That you were once both light and dark, " Sav thought of the picture that wasn't to far away. Was that proof that it was. Should she tell him about it It was safer to wait she decided on what he had to say first of all,

Cain sighed heavily; he didn’t know what do after she asked him that. It was true that Light and Dark could exist together, but the life that Savannah was asking for was a difficult one; a life that was torn between choices always deciding. The life was torture and something that he could not make his Savannah do. Yes he had chosen that life once, but the life was murder. At one point you would want to kill and then kill, but afterwards…The consequences were terrible. You were always haunted by your victims and Cain didn’t want that life for Savannah so…He lied.
“No Sava,” Cain lied. “The two cannot live together. I will give myself up for you.”

Sav was close to tears. Did she hear right. Her dark angel had told her there was no one forward or back for her. The dark blood had already done some damage to the young girl. "No Cain I wont let you" Her eyes wet as the tears came anyway. "If I have to "She muttered into his shoulder "I will find another to feed from"She couldn't imagine it ever. The idea disgusted her. Only Cain she wanted. The Cain he was now not the one he could become if he lost his power.
"Besides there is Shea" although she would never feed from a human. Human blood always made her ill. She had to remind Cain of the boy that lived elsewhere in her castle. Cain had a responsibility to the boy as well as to her

Cain cringed at the mention of Shea. He wanted to give everything up for her. All he had to do was say three words and really mean them, which he did, meant the words. No he couldn’t even think about the words or he would Change. He wondered if Savannah knew that his other self could…No. Don’t think about it Cain. A voice in the back of his mind had stopped him from falling apart. Cain wanted his Savannah to have everything. He didn’t want her to be ill. He knew that she would not drink from other people. Human blood made her feel sick and the ideas of drinking from other vampires disgusted both him and her. There was no way this could work. Cain shook his head.
“My biggest responsibility is you my love,” Cain whispered and kissed her cheeks. He snuck a taste of her blood tears and didn’t move. He wanted to be close to her. “I want to Change and give everything to you. I have never felt this way before…Not a trillion years my Sava, and I want to share this with you, but I can’t if you won’t let me Change. Please…I want to care for you even more and I want you healthy and strong. When I Change my blood will be pure for you to drink and you alone.”

Savannah wouldn't see Shea lose his place in Cain's household, It was what would surely happened should Cain become pure. Hunting and feeding had to be different even for the pure that didn't have her allergy. As much as he wanted to give her everything this was one gift that was just to pricey to give. As much as she hated to do so she would have to try and trick him to giving her another dark blood until her body no longer refused the changes.
No she wouldn't let him give up his dark life for her. It was more than she could bear, the sacrifice was hers to make, with him to help her through the fire pits and the darkest moments. But first he must unwittingly allow her to fall over the point of no return. "Cain before I let you do this may I ask one request" Her head turned ,to rest on his shoulder. She was afraid he would simply see the half lie, the stalling for time in her eyes. Her head was nestled comfortably against his, her tears half dried but still staining his clothes. "While I am broken like I am now, would I be able to walk in the sunshine just once" There was longing in her voice. That simple act others took for granted, was an act she had never once been able to achieve. "Then afterwards if you wish it still I wont stop you from making the change" She whispered a thought niggling at her. If he could change himself to a purer creature why couldn't she go darker. There was logic there somewhere. dly she wondered if she should send him to hunt, he was supporting her after all now.And after what she had taken shouldn't he thirst himself? "Baby are you thirsting? I will be okay if you wish to hunt"She offered knowing she wanted to keep him with her but she was no fool she knew what must be done for them to both survive .
