Welcome to the Vampire Institute. The school is located in New York City, New York. This school is for all newborns who have been abandoned by their sire(the person who changed them)or their sire has sent them to school to learn because they can not teach them, or this is a school for the vampires that have been runaways. The school was founded in 1908 by Headmaster Claire Gerald. She built the school because she was abandoned by her sire long ago and felt that newborns shouldn't have to go through what she went through as a vampire.
Humans know the world of vampires and welcome them. There was a civil war between vampires and humans because the human race was afraid. Eventually, the war ended after five years. Claire had built the school in secrecy as a boarding school before the war, but now in the year 2012, the world knows that the school is for vampires. However, with the world knowing about the vampires, that does not mean that things are better.
The vampire race is becoming large and sires are abandoning their changelings too early. This has become an issue for the Headmaster, but nonetheless, she welcomes the changelings with open arms.
Changelings are vampire who have recently been turned; changelings are only two days-a month old vampires. Newborns are a year old. To become a newborn at the school, is the freshman year so to say in a high school. Changelings are hard to take care because they are so new to the world. Changelings are like infants, except that changelings are hyper and anxious because they have so much adrenaline. They are opening their eyes for the first time and discovering who they are. The also are hard to take care of because they don't know how to control their powers at all or the blood drive or their *seexxx* drive.
The second year at the institute, is the baby year. A baby year is when the vampire has learned how to control the blood drive. The third year at the institute is the star year. The star year is when the vampire has learned how to control the vampire powers; speed, strength, eye sight, and quick reflexes. A vampire may be able to control one of the four elements by his or her newborn year. One out 10 vampires have an unique power other than his or her element.
The fourth year at the institute is the upperclassmen year. This is the year when vampire have learned to master the vampire powers, the blood drive, and the *sexxxxx* drive.
The fifth year at the institute is the adult year. This is the year when the vampire learns the master of the vampire bite and can change a human into a vampire successfully. In the fifth year, a vampire also learns that if a vampire changes a human, the vampire must be with their changeling until the vampire has been through the institute. Abandoning a changeling is unacceptable at the Vampire Institute and the consequence is great.
Finally, the sixth year of being a vampire is to learn how destroy vampire hunters. The sixth year is when a vampire is no longer a student, but a vampire training to be a warrior. Vampires technically graduate at the fifth year; the adult year. Not all vampires have to be a warrior. However, a lot of vampires go further their education because it is considered a great honor to be a warrior.
Every Day Lifestyle of a Vampire
Even though the vampires are now known to the world, they still sleep during the day. They're schedules are flipped because some vampires are more sensitive to the sun than others. Vampires can walk out in the day, but only for a short period of time.
Vampire can go without drinking from a human for a week. They can live off of regular human food for only a week. After a week, the vampire is chaotic with hunger and goes on a blood *luste*. Therefore, the institute encourages the vampires to get a daily fix of blood so that there are no blood *lustes*. To get a daily fix, a vampire is assigned to his or her own Blutspender(German word for blood donor). A Blutspender is a human volunteer that vampires take blood from.
Once enrolled into the institution, a vampire may not leave the institution until graduation; unless the vampire is a fourth year or his or her sire pulls them out of the institution. The vampire's parents have no say in the matter. Once a semester, a vampire has sire/parent visitation nights. That night a sire may choose to pull his or her vampire out of the institution.
Vampires live in dorms; boys and girls may live together because its the vampire way. Vampires are not humans, so the Headmistress understands the vampire needs(if you catch my drift, but remember pg 13. tell a little then go ....and later on. okey dokey?)
A Blutspender Way of Life
Every vampire has an assigned Blutspender, but the vampire has a choice. The vampire can either take his or her assigned Blutspender or go to the Blutspender room and have a randomly selected Blutspender. Blutspenders have seperate classes than they're vampires. This group learns about the vampires, not how to be a vampire. The Blutspender must always carry a phone or a pager so their vampire can get of a hold of them so that there are "no accidents". Remember, Blutspenders are NOT *whoresi*, they are considered an honor.
A Blutspender has the same hours as a vampire does. To learn how to be a vampire, one must act like a vampire. A Blutspender dedicates his or her whole life to their vampire. A Blutspender may live with the vampire until he or she dies of old age. The Blutspender goes on with that vampire even after graduation. Unless, the vampire does not want the Blutspender(which is usually the case).
If the vampire kills the Blutspender during his or her feeding, the vampire is severly punished. To be a Blutspender, is a great honor as well. A Blutspender is willing to give life and energy to another being and that is considered a great sacrifice at the institute.
Blood Children
A blood child is the child of a sire, also known as Blutkind. For example, Guinevere Cross' sire is Kevin Michaels. Kevin Michaels's Blutkind is Guinevere Cross and Pyra Sulker. He has two children with the same vampire blood.
Rules
Vampire can not reproduce because their organs are dead. I will not have a Twilight thing in this RP. With that being said, there is no such thing as half vampire half human. If you want that in a RP, create another one. Also, vampires do not sparkle in the sunlight. The only other rule i have is that keep your post to a PG-13 level. Anything above PG-13, and I will ban you for a week. Other than that, feel free to jump in, and I am Headmaster and a few other characters. Have fun!
