Sway started to panick as the teacher went on and then as she said, "You four will stay after school." her eyes watered. Its my frist day! she thought. I've never been in trouble before! I can't be in trouble! My parents will kill me! Sway sniffled and then wiped her eyes. I'm not gonna cry. she thought. If it was anything, Sway hated being in trouble and breaking the rules so she didn't understand why the teacher would accuse of her being one of the worst students in the school. It was her first day for Heaven's sake! Her first day and she was getting a bad reputation! Sway sniffled again and wiped her nose. Oh that was attractive. she thought.

IC: French Honors 4; Maxine Dellows and Charlotte Brennerman

Charlotte smiled and laughed. "Nice to meet you guys," she said. "And actually, my best friend Max brought me over here. She's the cute girl over there," she motioned in Maxine's direction. "With her head on her desk that's too shy to come over and say hi to a guy that she thinks is hot." Charlotte looked at Nathan as she said the last word. "So I did it for her."

Meanwhile, Maxine kept quiet and hoped to God that Charlotte wasn't ruining her. Why me why me why me why me why me? she thought. Is it safe to look up? Maxine lifted her head and looked towards the group that Charlotte was at. Charlotte stopped and looked at Maxine and waved. Maxine blushed deeply and slouched in her chair, wishing that she could disappear.

Cola made a very dramatic eye roll at the teacher and crossed her arms as she sunk even more into her chair. She wanted to throw a pencil at the teacher, but she didn't want to get into anymore trouble, even though she always did anyway.
Cola turned her head to look at the girl that the teacher had yelled at earlier. An eyebrow rose slightly, she turned away not wanting to stare. " This is ridiculous." she mumbled.

Sway sighed heavily. She looked at the back of the girl in front of her and tried to recollect herself. Its ok, she reassured herself. Just tell your parents that there was a misunderstanding...

The teacher looked at his watch and shook his head "You have ten minutes to finish what ever work you have started" he said sitting down into his chair. Chris just closed his book and rested his head on the table not knowing what to do.

Nathan looked over at Maxine "Oh really" he looked at the clock on the wall "Still abit of time left" he stood up and walked over to her and put his hands on the desk "Hey there" he said smiling as Seth rubbed his eyes "You've got him started now" he said laughing.

Charlotte laughed at Seth. "Maxine is really shy," she said. "Cool to hang out with, but REALLY REALLY shy."

Meanwhile, Maxine looked up at Nathan. "Hi." she said softly, almost in a whisper. Her cheeks were a bright red.

Oh God oh God oh God oh God. What do I dooooo?! I don't know what to say! she thought frantically. How bout saying your name Max! Speak! I command you to speak!

She looked at Nathan and opened her mouth to say something, but absolutely nothing came out. So, she closed her mouth and just stared at him.

Idiot. Maxine thought.

Sway stared at her blank paper, scared.

Seth leaned back "Nathan is the oppisite i supose that comes from being in a band" he said shrugging.
Nathan raised his eyebrow "I'm Nathan and your Maxine right?" he said nicely as he took a seat next to her "Don't you think French is pointless, im never gonna use well maybe if i went France but still" he said rubbing his head.

Charlotte smiled. "Yeah, Maxine doesn't get out much." she told him.

Meanwhile, Maxine looked at Nathan. "Max," she corrected. "And I like French. I just don't like the teacher."

Seth laughed "Neither does Nathan, he sits in playing games and leaning new guitar songs" he shook his head "Dunno why he's not shy".

Nathan nodded "The Teacher hates me and Seth, i dunno why" he said stroking his chin "Might be cause we don't listen and do work" he said laughing abit and leaning back.

Charlotte smiled. "I'm glad he's talking to her," she said. "Maxine needs new friends."

Maxine laughed. "Probably." she told him and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

[Atticus]

Seth nodded in agreement "Nouthing like new friends" he said smiling.

Nathan smiled "When i think about it, the only teacher who does like me is the music teacher, only lesson i pay attenchen in" he looked at the clock but it was too late, the teacher walked into the classroom "MR Adams why are you not in your seat? and you too Miss Brennerman?" he said angryly.

Cola smirked and just dropped her pencil on the desk all together. She wasn't even going to bother trying now. Forget this she thought with a sigh. She stared at the few things on her blank paper, attempting to cool down. If she didn't keep her anger management problems under control she was sure that she would get detention... again.

It hit a nerve in Mellonies mind. Mellonie looked around with a smug look on her face as shebit her bottom lip. First the new girl Sway looked at her, then chirs, and then another she didnt know. "Excuse me.", Mellonie said in an angry voice. "I dont recall saying I didnt under stand it.", she raised her eye brow. "Could you really be so ignorant? I was held back last year because I was suspended to many times. NOT because Im stupid."

Chris's eyes widend and kept his head on the desk trying to keep himself from laughing as the teacher turned round and looked right at Mellonie "Excuse me" he walked right in front of her and lent forwards "Thats a detention for you missy and we will test your theory on that you not stupid, put you planner on the desk" he went to walk away but as he did Chris let out abit of a laugh "What was that Mr Radcliffe?" he looked up "Nouthing sir" the teachers eyes narrowed "You get your planner out too" he turned on his heel and walked off.

((The planner is a book which you write down what homework has been set and also what Teachers put your detentions in. My old school gave us one))

Mellonie flopped her planner onto her desk. It was the only book in her bag. She was suprised she hadnt lost it yet. She smirked. "Colms gonna kill me for this later.", she muttered.

Maxine turned pale as the teacher looked at angry at her best friend Charlotte. However, Charlotte seemed cool, calm, and collected. She looked at the teacher with a smile.

"I was helping Seth with a few problems he was having," she explained. "He wasn't quite understanding the sentence structure so i helped him out and now he understands some of it, but you walked in here right when i was explaining it to him and interrupted me. So now he's completely lost again." Charlotte smiled. "And that was why I was out of my seat, sir."

Maxine blinked at Charlotte. Damn Charlotte

Sway trembled as she tucked her hair behind her ears. She glanced back at the book and wiped her nose. She didn't need a detention or want a detention, but she didn't understand the problem. Sway felt completely clueless.
