Hiro glanced up and spotted the clearing.

"Oh great!" he said, then started climbing up again.

[Miss Gates]

Keiren continued the long climb to the clearing. She was so relieved, they were only a couple of feet away.

Hiro was still climbing, he was right under her.

"How far?" He called out.

[Miss Gates]

Keiren looked up at the clearing. They weren't that far. She then looked down and gulped.

"Not that far !"she yelled down.

Keiren could only go so far before she was afraid of heights. The mountains were tall for a reason.

[slystream]

((lol, for a reason))

Hiro sighed in relief.

"Good"

[Miss Gates]

Keiren continued to climb, but she lost her footing and again her back was facing the mountains.

"HIRO !!"she screamed.

Her hands were bloody from all the sharp rocks and her fingers were slipping. She gulped as she looked down.

"Crap."she muttered.

[slystream]

Hiro growled as he watched her slip agian. He quickly climbed up next to her, then grabbed her arm.

"Just climb onto my back......with your hands like that, you'll probably fall next time."

His hands weren't too bad, and the clearing wasn't too far away. He figured he could make it.

[Miss Gates]

Keiren sighed, she thought she could take care of herself...she was just like that. She slowly climbed onto Hiro's back.

Hiro grunted at the extra weight, then continued climbing.

It took awhile, but they finally reached the clearing through a few slips.

He was panting by the time he got to sit down.

[Miss Gates]

Keiren sat down panting as well. They would have to stay here for a whole day because the sun was starting to rise. Here, the sun didn't touch. The two were protected by the shade. Keiren looked down at her hands. There was deep gashes in them and they were terribly cut and bloody. She sighed.

"This is not cool..."

[slystream]

Hiro frowned, looking at his hands. They had random scratches and cuts here and there, but they weren't as bad as Keiren's.

"How is it my hands look pretty fine and yours don't.....and I was carrying you."

He shook his head, then looked back at her hands. "Lick 'em clean."

[Miss Gates]

Keiren shrugged at the question and then brought her hands((ew....in my opinion))and started licking them. But the dirt mixed with the blood didn't taste good. After every lick, she made the wiggles face.

Hiro couldn't help but laugh as he watched her. He brought his own hands to his mouth and licked the cuts. True, the dirt and blood mixed didn't taste good, but he was used to it. It seemed to him as if Keiren wasn't.

[Miss Gates]

It was true that Keiren was not used to the blood and dirt mix. She was used to good clean blood and she continued to get the wiggles. In time, her cuts were clean and her wounds healed. She sighed...that was breakfast. The sun started to rise and the rock behind her got hot...then the sun started to grow towards Hiro.

"HIRO !! Get over !!"she yelled.

[slystream]

"Hu?" Hiro glanced up for a second, and his icy-blue eyes widened. "AW CRAP!"

He quickly made it to the side where the shade was.
