A Dim Light

[Miss Gates]

Willow perked up. "You're back !"she said.

Oz shook his head. Cordelia sighed as she looked for the pizza. "It took you that long and you still didn't get the pizza ? Geez I'm never letting you get pizza."

Xander turned Cordelia. "Honey,"he said. "He wasn't getting pizza."

"Oh,"Cordelia said a little thrown back. "Then why did he say he was getting pizza ?"

Everyone shook their head in frusteration. "What ?"Cordelia asked.

Jessica sighed as she walked Angel over to an arm chair.

Meanwhile, Avril took some food and some water. She ate the food happily. She hadn't eaten anything in three days. Thats why she was so skinny. Avril kind of looked like an animal as she ate, she didn't mean to, but she couldn't help it, she was just so hungry.

((LOL, I know what you mean Lilly))

Lilly looked at Avril curiously as she tilted her head. She wished she had that same appetite as her. Lilly was very skinny too. She hadn't eaten in days. Not days; weeks. She was hungry and craving blood. Her eyes slightly flashed yellow as she fiddled with her fork. Lestat gave her to drink some of his blood from the cup and Lilly sipped a little, spraying it to the other side. "ACK!!!" She said disgusted. "I need fresh....I need to taste the flesh and feel the pleasure of that blood flowing inside the person!" She said and Lestat growled at her. "Lilly!" He said threw clenched teeth, "Don't talk like that at the dinner table. Settle for the one we have." He said and continued eating as he looked at Avril and smiled. Lilly stuck her tonge at him playfully and he chuckled. "Oh, Lilly. Dear daughter. Eat. It'll do you good." He said.

Avril pretended not to hear what Lilly said. She couldn't stand drinking from a corpse. She continued to eating like an animal until she realized that she was. She took a napkin and wiped her mouth. Avril put her food down and looked at Lestat guilty.

"Sorry I'm eating so fast,"she explained. "Being homeless, I rarely got to eat."

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat nodded. "It's fine. It makes me beam seeing you eat so greatfully for the food you have." He said and then asked, "Do you want more?"

Lilly smiled. She sensed her discomfort at her comment and then snapped. <No, Lillian! Stop tantalizing around.>

((I'm confused, was Lilly thinking that or did she say that ?))

Avril smiled at Lestat. She was grateful for the offer, but shook her head. Although she hadn't eaten in awhile, she did have a small stomach.

"No thank you,"she said jokingly. "If I eat anymore I might be sick. I'll just finish what I have. Thank you though."

[Asphyxia.]

((She thought that. <> thoughts either to someone or to herself. " " speaking.))

<Oh, Lillith don't be so pathetic. You know you want too.> <No I don't, Lillian. Shut up and go back to sleep!> She thought and pushed her plate to the front. She shook her head and Lestat sighed. "Fine, don't eat."

He then looked at Avril. "It's okay. This is your house now as I said previously."

[Miss Gates]

Avril chuckled at the two. She loved families.

"You two are great."she told them.

[Asphyxia.]

Lilly giggled. "Thanks," She said with an ^_^ face and Lestat chuckled. "Thanks."

[Miss Gates]

Avril chuckled again, she couldn't help it "You're welcome."she said and took another bite.

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat finsihed his food. He looked at Lilly who started poking her fangs quietly with her tongue and then stood up. "Excuse me. I'm going to go around town now. I'm a bit bored." She said and vowed as she walked away and left them alone.

Avril looked up at Lilly as she walked away, finishing a bite slowly. She then looked at Lestat with a smile. She shook her head and put her food down.

"Is she always like this when she's hungry ?"she asked him.

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat's eyes widened and turned to look at Avril. He then snapped back, "No. Her hunger hasn't taken over her yet. She's not on a blood drive. That was Lillith, not Lillian." He said. "She only needs to get things clear. I fear Lillian is trying to wake up again." He said glancing to the side.

[Miss Gates]

Avril meant it as a joke, but apparently it wasn't. She looked down at her plate.

"Oh,"she told him. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that."

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat blinked at her and a sudden anger flashed inside of him, but not reflected on his eyes nor his expression. He looked at her, "This is serious. Lillian is her counterpart and not pretty when angered. But....she'll be fine." He said and chuckled. "Lukas." He called. "Kep an eye over Lilly. I fear that Lillian may be looking for someone." He said and Lukas nodded.

Avril jumped. She understood that it was serious, she was apologizing for making the joke before. She didn't understand. Avril sighed.
