A Dim Light

[Miss Gates]

The clouds revealed the moon. Avril wimpered as she walked out into the middle of the road where Jessica and Angel were.

<I'm not hungry, I'm not hungry...>she told herself as she ran faster and faster away from them, but only to step in front of Angelus.

A car was coming by as Angelus waved. Avril darted out and stopped when she saw the car. Her eyes grew wide.

((Please don't do anything yet, you can yell or something, just don't have Lestat save her please, not yet..I have a plan...))

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat's eyes widened and Lilly stopped him. "Father...I need you to help me with something." Lestat grew impatient. He wanted to save her, but he couldn't because of Lilly. He sighed.

[Miss Gates]

((Thanks...LOL. Now you can save her, from Angelus...LOL.))

Angelus jumped out in the middle of the road; seeing the wolf he grabbed her, causing him to bang the very top of his left shoulder agaisnt the tail light hard, making the right light shatter. They rolled on the road to the left by the trees and the grass. The driver slammed on his breaks. It was a lawyer. He quickly got out of his car and walked over to the two.

"Oh my gosh ! Are you alright !"he cried.

Angelus let out a yell of pain as Avril growled and wrestled with him. Without an answer, the laywer screamed and got back into his car, and sped off fast. Angelus pinned the wolf to the ground and pulled out his silver stake. He held his arm up to kill her, but it was harder than he thought, she put up a fight and she clawed him again and again. Then, she finally bit him, but didn't get a chance to drink him so it didn't affect him. He still had his stake ready and went to strike...

[Asphyxia.]

((YES!! FEEL MY EPIC ENTRY!!!))

Right at that moment Lestat tackled Angelus to the ground and rolled over with him as he hissed at him, baring his fangs. "Don't you dare touch her!" He growled. His eyes lit with fury as he was ready to put up a fight with him no matter what happened but not Avril. Not the woman he loved. He pierced his claws on his shoulder. He had been blinded in fury at his movement.

[Miss Gates]

((OMG !! You made me laugh so hard !!))

Angelus did not realize that the wolf was an actual person which made him feel stupid. He turned to Lestat in pain as Avril calwed at him.

"I didn't know !"he shouted at him.

Then, his vampire Angelus came out. His face transformed and his eyes turned yellow. He spun around in furry and hit Avril's jaw hard. The wolf whimpered and was unconscience. Angelus calmed down and turned back into Angel.

"I'm sorry."he said as he got off of her and dropped the silver stake away from her.

The wolf was still a wolf since the moon was out, but then the clouds hid the moon and she transformed back into her human form. She was naked and beat up, but not bad and they would heal by morning, most of them anyway.

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat calmed down and with a rough scoff he turned to Avril. He saw her naked; something he never thought would happen. He frowned. "It'll be okay." He whispered. He took the stake and hid it in his pocket as he picked her up covering her with his trench coat and brought her inside. "Lilly!" He whispered. "Um...a little help? I wouldn't want her to wake up and think it was me or something..." He said and Lilly smiled as she took her in her arms upstairs and into the shower. She bathed her making sure she wouldn't drown in the water and took her to Lestat's room, placing Lilly's clothes on her body which amazingly fit her pretty well. She let her sleep on Lestat's bed and went downstairs. "She's sleeping on your bed, father."

[Miss Gates]

Meanwhile, Angelus ran to his house. Jessica ran as fast as she could with Angel on her to the library, trying to beat the sunlight. She bursted into the school and ran into the library.

Avril dreamed about the night she turned into a werewolf...

[Asphyxia.]

Lilly fell asleep with Lestat on the couch trying to watch for something to happen. Lilly was asleep on her father's chest and he had his arms wrapped around her. He moved to the side slightly and then woke up, realizing that he fell asleep. He looked at Lilly and smiled. "Just like a princess..."

[Miss Gates]

Avril turned in Lestat's bed. Her eyes were squinting with fear and she was whimpering like a wounded animal. She breathed heavily.

"No..."she muttered.

After the bite it flashed to the next day. Where she met the small black eight year old.

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat sensed her trouble and decided to watch over her just incase. He got her and brought her to her room and kissed her forehead. He then went to his room and watched her stirr around with difficulty. "It's okay..." He soothed and rubbed a finger through her cheeks.

[Miss Gates]

The little boy was laughing and Avril smiled in sleep as Lestat stroked her cheeks. Then, she transformed into her wolf.

"No..."she muttered...

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat smoothed again. "Sh..sh..sh...it's fine..." He said caressing her cheek more. <I wonder...> He thought. He could maybe get her to drink a sleeping potion to make her sleep well for that night until the horror of what just happened passed.

[Miss Gates]

The moon shone brightly from behind the clouds. It would only last for so long because the sun was starting to rise. Avril's breathing became rapid breathing and she grabbed the sheets as herself in her dream chased after the little boy. She felt pain from the transformation. Avril tossed and turned. Flashes and flashes of the boy's murder that she committed ran through her head;she panted.

"No...."she said over and over again.

The next flash was waking up to his bloody and torn up corpse. Avril cried as she held the little boy's bloody hand shakingly. She snapped awake and found Lestat in front of her. She gasped and jerked away as she felt the transformation. Her heart felt like it was cracking open as she held onto the bedpost.

"Get away from me !"she cried.

[Asphyxia.]

Lestat slightly frowned. "It's okay... don't worry about it. It's all fine. Go to sleep, my dear." He soothed. He wasn't surprised if she lunged herself at him and just bit him, but he wasn't afraid. "It's okay... it was only a dream, dear."

[Miss Gates]

Avril panted and her eyes turned yellow as she closed them. Thankfully, the sun saved her. Flashes of biting Angelus ran through her head. She sobbed on the bedpost. She was a monster. An animal....
